Description

The VTCT (ITEC) Level 5 Certificate in Laser Tattoo Removal is an advanced therapy qualification aimed at level 4 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add this therapy to their repertoire of treatment offerings.

Learners are required to hold a level 4 laser and IPL qualification to progress onto level 5 tattoo removal. Learners who hold a level 3 beauty therapy qualification or Level 3 in Anatomy & Physiology will be able to access the level 4 laser and IPL qualifications as a natural progression route.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):

• Do you have an accredited certificate in Chemical Peel? 
• Are you looking to upgrade to an Ofqual Regulated course?

Under the RPL policy, this means as you have already trained in this subject, then you will not be required to come back and completely retrain from scratch but complete the assignments from home with the theory resources and your own knowledge/experience and 1 day practical assessments.

How to Upgrade:

• Make either the deposit payment (monthly instalments with no credit checks) afterwards or the course payment in full.
• Enrolment process
• Access to the online portal with all theory resources and assignments
• Once these have been completed and marked, then your assessor will invite you in for a 1/2 day to come in to get you ready for your 1 final practical assessment with VTCT in our centre (at a later date – usually 6-12 weeks later,  but can be sooner)

• 1/2 Day training to get you ready for your final assessment PLUS your;
• 1 x Invigilated Tattoo Removal Exam
• 1 x practical day in the classroom with VTCT in our centre to complete your final assessment

• Level 4 Core of Knowledge in Laser
• Level 4 Certificate in Laser & Intensed Pulsed (IPL) Treatments

What does this qualification cover?

This qualification is informed by employers and national occupational standards for beauty therapy and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a fully commercial laser tattoo removal practitioner. Learners must achieve all mandatory units which include:

• BT5C2.PE1 – Practical Assessment
• BT5C2.PE1 – Invigilated Exam
• UBT273 – Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies
• UBT274 – Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies
• UBT275 – Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies
• UBT276 – Remove or fade tattoos using Q Switched Laser systems
