On completion of this qualification the learner may choose to undertake further study; qualifications you could progress to include:
- VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
- VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training

Course Units
- UET1 – Understanding roles, responsibilities & relationships in education & training
- UET2 – Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education & training
- UET5 – Understanding assessment in education & training
Duration:
- Registration with VTCT for the Level 3 Award in Education & Training
- Enrolment process & then access to your online theory portal & assessor
- 1 x Zoom session with your assessor to discuss the theory (as discussed with your assessor directly)
- Online Assignments to Complete from Home
- 1 x Assessments (Microteachs)
Assessment:
Assessments = You will be required to assess students and mark their coursework as part of your assessment
Case studies (microteach) = Yes, you will be required to teach 2 students, for 20-30 minutes on anything you are passionate about, whether its ‘how to make a origami paper cup’ or ‘how to create a powerpoint presentation’. The assessment looks at how you prepare and deliver the information to your ‘learners’.
Career Opportunities:
Self-Employment or Employment as a vocational assessor in the subjects you are qualified in.
Additional Costs:
You will need to purchase your own equipment (e.g. assessor resources) and we also recommend you purchase a text book to support your learning, a recommended reading list is supplied with your training pack.
